I was born and raised in the Bay Area and graduated from CSU Long Beach in 2015 with a B.S. in Kinesiology – Exercise Science and then graduated from Hampton University, Virginia in 2019 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
I have been working in outpatient orthopedics over the last 5 years and enjoy treating a variety of conditions of all ages, activity levels, and goals. I have experience as an Assistant Clinic Director where I managed the aide team, created a pain science and high velocity low amplitude thrust technique mentorship program for new grads, handled a variety of admin tasks, and was a certified Clinical Instructor through the APTA.
I am certified with the Institute of Clinical Excellence earning the title “ICE Certified: Master Clinician” in 2024 (Link above for details) and obtained my Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics in 2023.
I have also earned certificates for continued education in Cervical/Lumbar Spine/Extremity Management, Modern Management of the Older Adult, Rehab of the Injured Runner, Total Spine Thrust Manipulation, Management of the Fitness Athlete (L1/L2) , Persistent Pain Management, Primary Care Physical Therapy from the Institute of Clinical Excellence.
In my spare time I enjoy playing competitive sand volleyball, golfing, snowboarding, hiking, working out, going to music shows and breweries, playing with my Aussie (Shivakamini Somakandarkram), and camping/traveling with my wife.
